Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas brings a distinguished legacy of academic leadership and administrative excellence to CUI Lahore. Prior to joining our campus, he served as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, where he played a pivotal role in advancing academic standards, institutional development, research, and innovation. Orientation Session for New Students – Fall 2026

An orientation session for new students of Fall 2026 was conducted at COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus (CUI Lahore) on 7 September 2026. The session focused on introducing students to the library resources, services, rules, and regulations. The following libraries and designated resource persons participated in the orientation session: Main Library: Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq. Ms. Raiqa Pervaiz, Mr. Attiq ur Rehman Architecture & Design (A&D) Library: Ms. Nasira Muneer Pharmacy Library: Mr. Muhammad Asim Management Sciences Library: Mr. Naveed Siddique The library representatives provided a brief overview of the available print and electronic resources, library services, book borrowing and circulation facilities, online library resources, searching and discovery services, and other facilities available to students. Students were also briefed about library rules and regulations, including proper use of library resources, borrowing and returning books, maintaining discipline and silence, care of library materials, and appropriate use of library facilities. The orientation helped new students become familiar with the library resources, services, facilities, and procedures available to support their academic and research needs.
