Former LIS Student Shines in Pakistan Idol

Our former student and ex-president of the CEC, a society of Library and Information Services, Wajahat Rana, is currently performing in Pakistan Idol. We wish him all the best for his musical journey and continued success. Here are some glimpses from Pakistan Idol:

Visit of Soban Attari to LIS, CUI Lahore

Soban Attari, a renowned Pakistani motivational speaker, Islamic scholar, and social media influencer, visited the Library and Information Services (LIS), COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, on 31st October 2025. Mr. Naveed Siddique (Assistant Librarian) warmly welcomed him and briefed him about the library’s resources, specifically Islam and Seerat ul Nabi (SAW) corner which is designated for the collection of books on Seerah of Prophet (SAW). During his visit, Soban Attari also delivered a Jumah speech in the campus mosque. He also gifted a few precious books on the different topics of Islam. An exchange of thoughts also took place on tea in the office of Head LIS. He admired the collection and its handling. He acknowledged that such careful curation greatly enhances accessibility and preserves the value of the materials for future use.
