How to develop your library webpage

Muhammad Irfan, Software Engineer, CIIT Lahore have great experience to design and develop different library websites. He will tell the participants that how the librarians can develop their own library website while using the open source codes and applications.

LibGuides: Development and Maintenance                                       

Mansoor Sheraz, Software Engineer, CIIT Lahore will introduce the libguides and its importance in librarianship. He will also share the open source software for establishing the libguides followed by hands-on practice.

Use of Web 2.0 for Library Marketing and Services                         

                                    Hina Batool, is an eminent academician and researchers will deliver 
                                    a presentation on above topic and the participants will be able to

register their libraries with different web 2.0 applications for bridging

the gap between library and users and also for better library marketing

and services

Journal Ranking System: Why its important for Librarians                   

In current scenario, its very important to know about the journal ranking

system and Mr.  Muhammad Rafiq Awan will help the participants to get

better understanding about Impact Factor, H-index and other related areas.

Professional Leadership: tools and techniques                

                                    Ms. Nasrenn Sultana is renowned library professional and will

share some tools and techniques to the participants for professional

leadership for better working environment in libraries.

Time Management                                                                                        

                                    Dr. Muhammad Ramzan is the senior library professional and have

vast knowledge about library profession. He is a great master trainer

in fields particular in “Time Management”. Currently he is working as

Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, UCP Lahore

Communication and Presentation Skills                                              

As full bright scholar, Ms. Tooba Ahmad has currently completed her

graduation from University of Oregon, USA. She was also working as language

instructor and conducted many trainings on Communication and Presentation

skills at University of Oregon, USA. She will impart her knowledge to the participants on the topic.

Development of resource sharing model: Challenges and opportunities

All Library Inchages of CIIT will give short presentations about the share the opportunities for sharing their resources, services with other libraries. Mr. Muhammad Tariq will conduct this session and Ms. Nasira Munir will take minutes for final compilation and distribution among all.

Closing Ceremony

Worthy Director will distribute the certificate among all participants and

organizers. The Convener Library Affairs Committee will also grace the occasion.
