seminar titled "We and Our Environment"

In continuation of the "Awareness Campaign" by the Danish Society of Library Information Services, CUI Lahore, a seminar titled "We and Our Environment" was held on December 14, 2023. Prof. Syed Dr. Asad Hussain was the chief guest and Jawad Ahmad, Chairman Barabri Party, Singer, and Musician was the guest of honor. A good number of faculty and students participated in the seminar. The speakers highlighted the individual positive role in the sustainable environment. In the end, the certificates were distributed among all organizers and the winners of the drawing competition. The chief guest presented the shied to the guest of honor.

Green COMSATS

The Danish Society of Library Information Services organized an "Green COMSATS" awareness campaign. Different events like the Drawing competition, "Honor the Horticulturists' and a plantation drive were organized during December 11-14, 2023. In the seminar "Honor the Horticulturists", Dr. Musferah Mahfooz, HoD Humanities Department was the chief guest and Mr. Ashfiq Ali, the most senior mali of COMSATS was the guest of honor. The certificates were distributed among all the staff of the horticulture section of COMSATS. At the end of the seminar, the plantation derive was held by the COMSATS students.

MoU between COMSATS University Lahore Campus and BNU

Beaconhouse National University Library and Comsat University Islamabad Lahore Campus Library signed MOU on 5th October 2023 to strengthen research, library services, and to promote the reading and research culture between the two institutions through: · Sharing of library materials. · Research collaboration. · Sharing professional expertise in Library Science. · Conducting workshops/seminars in mutually agreed areas. · Other areas of mutual interest. Games @ CUI Lahore Library

Library Information Services CUI-Lahore organized in-house games/ activities during the student week 2023. The Library organized different events including Cricket Match, Movie Show, Musical Chair, Target Point & Ludo competitions. All library staff actively participated and tried to grab the higher position. After an interesting competition, the name of the position holders are as under. For the cricket match, there were two teams, one was leading Dr. Tariq and the other was Muhammad Ishtaiq sb. All library staff including femaile staff were played the match. The team of Muhammad Ishtiaq sb have won the match.
