The COMSATS Enrichment Club (CEC) successfully organized its first event of the Fall 2025 semester on Sunday, 14th September at N Block, combining a musical evening with the most anticipated cricket clash of the Asia Cup – Pakistan vs India. The evening began with a vibrant Music Night from 6:00 PM to 7:20 PM, where students enjoyed soulful performances and energetic vibes. The atmosphere was lively, filled with cheers and applause as the performances set the perfect tone for the night. Following the music segment, the event transitioned smoothly into the live screening of the Pakistan vs India cricket match at 7:30 PM. The screening continued until 11:00 PM, with an energetic crowd cheering for every ball and boundary. Although Pakistan lost the match, the passion, unity, and excitement displayed by the students kept the environment full of energy until the very end. The participation was overwhelming, with students from multiple departments joining in, showcasing the popularity and reach of CEC. The management and organizing teams worked diligently to ensure smooth arrangements, including sound, seating, projection, and overall event coordination. In conclusion, the event was a resounding success. Both the music night and the live screening provided students with an unforgettable experience, marking a strong start for CEC in the new semester. The teamwork, dedication, and enthusiasm of both the organizing members and participants truly highlighted the strength and spirit of the society.

لائبریری انفارمیشن سروسز، کامسیٹس یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد، لاہور کیمپس نے 4 اور 5 ستمبر 2025 کو مرکزی لائبریری میں دو روزہ کتاب میلہ برائے سیرت النبی (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) کا انعقاد کیا۔ اس تقریب کا مقصد لائبریری کے وقیع ذخیرے میں موجود کتب، علمی لٹریچر اور تحقیقی مواد کے ذریعے حضور اکرم ﷺ کی تعلیمات، سیرت اور اخلاقی اوصاف کو اجاگر کرنا تھا۔ نمائش کا باضابطہ افتتاح پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سرفراز احمد، ڈائریکٹر سی یو آئی لاہور کیمپس نے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد آصف، کنوینر ایل اے سی، مختلف شعبہ جات کے سربراہان، ڈاکٹر محمد طارق، سربراہ لاہور کیمپس لائبریری، لائبریری عملہ، طلبہ و طالبات اور فیکلٹی ممبران کے ہمراہ کیا۔ تمام شرکاء نے لائبریری انفارمیشن سروسز کی ٹیم کی اس بامقصد اور روحانی طور پر دل کو چھو لینے والی سرگرمی کو سراہا۔ ڈائریکٹر نے اس موقع پر کہا کہ لائبریری کو چاہیے کہ وہ حضور ﷺ کی سیرت کے مطالعے اور اس پر غور و فکر کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کرے تاکہ ہم اپنی ذاتی، پیشہ ورانہ اور تعلیمی زندگیوں میں رہنمائی حاصل کرسکیں۔ اس تقریب کو بھرپور پذیرائی ملی اور مختلف شعبوں کے اساتذہ، عملے اور طلبہ نے سرگرم شرکت کی اور نمائش کا دورہ کیا۔ آنے والے مہمانوں نے کتب میں گہری دلچسپی کا اظہار کیا اور اس متنوع ذخیرے کو سراہا، جس میں قدیم متون، عصری تحقیق، سوانح عمریاں اور کتب کے مختلف زبانوں میں تراجم شامل تھے۔ شرکاء نے اس اقدام کو ایک بروقت کوشش قرار دیا جس کے ذریعے اسلامی اقدار، شفقت اور قیادت کی وہ خصوصیات اجاگر ہوئیں جو رسول اکرم ﷺ نے اپنی زندگی میں عملاً پیش کیں۔ دو روز تک لائبریری علم و فکر کا ایک متحرک مرکز بنی رہی۔ ماحول نے علمی مباحث، علم کی شراکت اور سیرت النبی ﷺ کے ساتھ گہرے تعلق کو فروغ دیا۔ اس نوعیت کی سرگرمیاں نہ صرف مطالعے کے فروغ کا ذریعہ بنتی ہیں بلکہ یہ بھی یاد دہانی کراتی ہیں کہ رسول اکرم ﷺ کی سیرت اور تعلیمات آج کے جدید دور کے مسائل کے حل کے لیے بھی ابدی رہنمائی فراہم کرتی ہیں۔ کتاب میلہ روزانہ صبح 9:00 بجے سے شام 4:00 بجے تک جاری رہا تاکہ جامعہ برادری زیادہ سے زیادہ شرکت کر سکے۔ اساتذہ اور طلبہ نے لائبریری کی علمی اور ثقافتی سرگرمیوں کے فروغ کے مسلسل اقدامات کو سراہا، جو فکری نشوونما اور اخلاقی اقدار کے فروغ میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ نمائش مثبت آراء اور شرکاء کی حوصلہ افزائی کے ساتھ اختتام پذیر ہوئی، جس نے ایک بار پھر لائبریری کے اس کردار کو اجاگر کیا کہ وہ علم کی ترسیل اور کمیونٹی کی شمولیت کا مرکز ہے

Book Exhibition on Seerat un Nabi (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ)

I am pleased to share that Library Information Services, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, cordially invites you to attend a Book Exhibition on Seerat un Nabi (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) 📅 September 4–5, 2025 🕘 09:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m. (daily) 📍 Main Library, CUI Lahore This exhibition is being organized to celebrate the blessed birth of Hazrat Muhammad (صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ), the Mercy for all mankind, whose life and teachings serve as a timeless source of guidance, compassion, and inspiration for humanity. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of valuable books highlighting different aspects of the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (SAW). Prof. Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmad, Director ​, CUI Lahore, will kindly inaugurate the exhibition. We warmly welcome faculty, students, and staff to join this occasion of learning and reflection.

Orientation Session for Fall 2025 Students

The Library Information Services, CUI Lahore, warmly welcomed the newly enrolled students of Fall 2025 at the CUI Lahore campus. To mark this occasion, the library conducted orientation sessions on Orientation Day, August 31, 2025. The primary objective of these sessions was to familiarize students with the library’s wide range of resources, services, facilities, rules, and regulations. A large number of students attended the sessions with great enthusiasm, showing keen interest in exploring how the library can support their academic journey. At the Main Library, Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq guided students through the rules, membership process, available resources, and services. Similarly, specialized orientation sessions were held across departmental libraries: Architecture & Design Library – led by Ms. Nasira Muneer Pharmacy Library – led by Mr. Naveed Saddique Management Science Library – led by Mr. Israr Ahmad The sessions served as an important step in introducing students to the academic and research support available at CUI Lahore libraries, ensuring they begin their studies with the right tools and knowledge.
